Co-ed Blastball: (Ages 3-4)
This program is just as fun to watch as it is for the young ones to play! The program is designed to introduce baseball fundamentals and is a lead into T-Ball. Players use a foam ball, bat and hit from a stationary tee.
The emphasis is on fun, to introduce the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, catching, running and fielding. Stations will be set up and a small game will be played at the end of the night.
Blastball runs Monday from 6pm to 7pm at St. Judes Catholic school starting in early June and finishing mid August. .
Teams have 6-8 players. Parental Involvement is essential. A T-shirt and baseball cap are provided. A glove is not required, but may be used. No helmets in Blastball as we use a foam bat and balls.
This program is designed as an introduction to baseball, and everyone will play equally. Using fun to introduce baseball fundamentals, players are encouraged to develop their skills and learn the rules. Fun, friendship, teamwork and sportsmanship are stressed. The ball is hit from a stationary tee.
A T-shirt, baseball cap and a season-end wrap up party are provided. Players must bring their own glove and it is strongly recommended that players provide their own helmet.
Teams are on the diamond two nights a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) at St Judes from 6pm to 7:30pm Tuesdays' will be a practice and a game on Thursday.
The season ENDS with a wrap-up game on a Saturday morning in August at the Southwest London Diamonds (on Southdale Road, west of Wonderland and east of Col. Talbot).

The goal is to have a league where kids can play and learn the game of baseball against other kids of there same age rather than trying to move up to play rookieball at a young age where the risk of injury and player frustration goes up because they are playing against older kids.
Phase 1 - Hitting off a tee.
Phase 2 - Coach pitch and further skill development.
Phase 3 - Introduces the pitching machine (either electric or foot pedal action)
A T-shirt, baseball cap and a season-end wrap up party are provided. Players must bring their own glove and it is strongly recommended that players provide their own helmet.
